| Hua Hin, a quiet seaside town, offers tranquil beaches and lots of local colour. Probably the oldest beach resort in the country it's still popular as a weekend retreat with local wealthy Thais. The construction of a railway station here in the reign of King Rama VI (1910-1925) and a summer palace of King Rama VII in 1926, transformed this quiet fishing village into a resort town for Thai high society. |
